Last week, I saw that Andy Card, Bush’s chief of staff proffered a snide schoolyard comment about Obama not wearing a jacket in the Oval Office.
Obviously, Card should go to hell. Or at least go away. Maybe one of the biggest problems with his crowd was worrying about dress codes while failing to offer the American people what they really needed – competence.
You want to know how you give the office of president respect? You don’t run the country into the ground. You don’t go to war because of your daddy issues. You don’t out your own intelligence agents. You don’t ruin every executive department from the EPA to the Justice Dept. Etc., etc., etc. (I could write pages)
If Obama wants to wear a speedo in the Oval Office, I don’t give two shits as long as he’s exercising good judgment.
Oh good judgment – under that umbrella is…let me think…a member of the outgoing administration not criticizing the current administration on irrelevant issues.
UPDATE: hehe. The Huffpo, in all its smart assed perfection, put together a slide show of all the recent presidents in the Oval Office with their jackets off. Click here to view.
